Two Eyed Solar Viewing Without Extra Correctors
The Tecnosky Horizon binoviewer lets you observe with both eyes through a single telescope. Its head combines prism and mirror elements and carries built in optical correctors, so on a Lunt hydrogen alpha telescope it reaches focus without an optical corrector system lens or a stack of spacers, which is often the obstacle with older binoviewer designs.
Magnification through the head is 1:1, so your eyepieces keep their marked focal lengths. Eyepiece holders are 1.25 inch and Lunt publishes an eye relief range of 58 mm to 74 mm along with a rotatable diopter adjustment for balancing focus between your eyes. Unobstructed clear diameter is 17.3 mm and the head weighs 24.9 ounces.
Overall dimensions are 127 by 106.7 by 50.4 mm. The head is compatible with Lunt solar telescopes and with Newtonian and refractor telescopes generally, and Lunt suggests pairing it with its flat field eyepieces in 8, 12, 16, 19 and 27 mm for solar work behind proper solar filtration.
