Lunt SunLock Solar Finder
Center The Sun Without Looking Through Anything
The SunLock finder from Lunt lets you aim your telescope at the Sun without sighting through any optic. It projects a bright alignment spot onto a glass reticle plane that you read from above and forward of the eyepiece, so you simply move the mount until the spot sits on the mark.
Internal set screws handle alignment, so you adjust the projection spot from inside the housing rather than with external thumbscrews that can drift. Once you have set it, the alignment holds through casing the telescope and travelling to a site, which saves you re-aiming at the start of every session.
The red anodized body matches Lunt telescopes and mounts directly on the LS40, LS50T, LS60, LS80THa and LS100THa. Larger models and ring style mounts need the ADPSOL adapter. The slot takes 1/4-20 or M6 screws on 1 inch or 25.4 mm spacing, so it also fits Tele Vue slots and many third party solar setups.
