The Lunt LS60MT is a universal day and night telescope built on a professional grade FLP51 ED doublet. In its shipped hydrogen alpha configuration the working aperture is 60 mm behind the etalon module, while the native objective measures 70 mm for night use. Focal length is 420 mm at f/7, giving a short tube that carries easily and settles quickly on a small mount.
Because the hydrogen alpha module is modular rather than built into the tube, you can lift it off together with the pressure tuner and fit a standard focuser in its place. That turns the same optical tube into a conventional ED refractor for lunar, planetary, deep sky and terrestrial viewing, so a single case covers your daytime and night time sessions.
Solar tuning uses Doppler True barometric pressure tuning, which gives instant doppler shifting and fine control over what the passband reveals. Single stack bandpass is below 0.45 Angstrom and double stacking brings it below 0.40 Angstrom. Blocking filters are offered at 6 mm, 12 mm and 18 mm in diagonal and straight through form, all with a 6 Angstrom bandpass.
