One Hundred Millimetre Solar Etalon Filter Set

This 100mm full aperture H-alpha etalon package from Lunt is the largest front mounted etalon in the Lunt filter range. The etalon threads onto the front of a customer supplied refractor through a Lunt adapter plate, and the supplied adapters cover refractors up to 102 mm; anything larger needs a custom plate.

Like the smaller full aperture sets, the etalon covers the whole objective with no central support foot, and each set is ordered with a blocking filter chosen for your focal length and focuser size. The trailing 2 or 1 in each code tells you whether the blocking filter arrives in a 2 inch or a 1.25 inch fitting.

Lunt's own manual quotes under 0.75 Angstrom single stack and about 0.55 Angstrom when a second etalon is added, while dealer spec sheets quote under 0.7 and under 0.5. Both figures are shown below so you can see the spread. Note that the etalon on its own, without a blocking filter, is sold separately on our double stack etalon page.
