Connect Eyepieces And Blocking Filters With Confidence
Lunt builds two small machined adapters that solve the most common fit problems on a solar telescope back end. One steps a 2 inch blocking filter or focuser down to 1.25 inch, the other threads onto a T2 blocking filter so you can drop in 2 inch eyepieces. Both are metal bodied and both use a non marring brass compression ring.
ADP2-1.25 is the part to reach for when you own a 2 inch Lunt blocking filter but want to observe with 1.25 inch eyepieces, and it works equally well as a general reducer inside any 2 inch diagonal or focuser. The brass ring grips the barrel evenly instead of digging a thumbscrew dimple into it.
LST2-2 inch goes the other way. Remove the 1.25 inch eyepiece tube from your blocking filter, thread this adapter onto the exposed T2 thread, and you can use 2 inch eyepieces. Lunt lists it for its blocking filters, hydrogen alpha and calcium K telescopes except the LS35THa, and Ca-K modules. Solar viewing still demands the telescope's proper filtration.
